The Charlie Browns...
03/12/2012 20:39Have you ever felt like nobody liked you? Like everyone looks better than you, is better than you...stuff like that. Good news, I have too. Just today, I had that sad feeling in my heart of pure rejection. I was reminded of how I have been ignored and looked down upon. But you know what I am going to do? Build myself up in the Word! God is so in love with us and wants us to please Him so that we can have a sense (and reality) of fulfillment in our lives. The scripture that God is bringing to my heart right now is that God loves me as much as He loves Jesus (John 17:23), and Jesus loves as the Father love Him (John 15:9)- look it up! That is exactly what Jesus tells us. I hope that helps you- I know it helps me. Grace to you :)
Coming soon!
02/18/2012 22:50Hey everyone! I know I have not posted in a while....but soon, I am going to be adding music and sheet music (super simple chords...)!
No, there is no charge for the music. God has not lead me to do that. So, come back often to see if I have made any changes. I am
hoping to add it in the Summer.

Take a Different Perspetive
02/06/2012 23:14How do you think God sees your problems right now? I am about to give you a very clear picture. Let's look at David facing Goliath. In 1Samuel 17, we read about how David came up against Goliath with a staff, and five smooth stones. In verse 43, we see that Goliath is offended. David was treating this giant like a little dog. You drive away little dogs with sticks and stones generally. ow wonder Goliath asked, " Am I a dog that you come against me with sticks?" Now, David had a God perspective on this giant he was facing; he was just a dog and could be beaten with the rod. Who is the Rod? Jesus! (Isaiah 11:1 "There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.") And Jesus is the Word of God, John 1:1-3 says so. So, we overcome our giants with God's Word. For we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phillipians 4:13). So, let's (you and I) change how we see our giants. God sees them as not more than little dogs :)
Grace to you,
"Am I a Liar That You Should Discredit Me?"
02/06/2012 10:56Today, I was helping my sister get ready for the day. I was helping her brush her teeth and complimented on her smile, " I don't have a pretty smile!" she rebutted. I was bothered. Next, I dressed her. I noticed that a dress of hers was shorter than last time she put it on, "Somebodies been getting taller!" I exclaimed with a smile. "Yah, right!" Replied my little sister. That was the last straw, " *Maggie," I said, " am I a liar that you should discredit me?" In my spirit, the hypocrite alarm buzzed. God spoke to me immediately, " You have done the same thing to me." I felt guilty. *Maggie was a perfect example of what I had been doing to God. He tells me kind, wonderful things and shows me what He thinks of me through His Word; and I would shrugg off His Words with a, "Yah, right." We all must begin to and continue to obey and believe God's Word.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

What is your future?
02/05/2012 13:47I heard a story as a pre-teen (I'm still pretty young- just entered 20 last year) that sobered me some. On the news, I heard a story of a young man (just 15 yrs) who was playing his favorite sport and suddenly fell down dead. Nothing was wrong with him; he was perfectly healthy. I grieved within myself wondering if he knew Jesus- where was he (is he) spending his eternity. Eternity is not something in the future. God told me something as we (my siblings, mom and dad and I) were driving- I saw a billboard for college that said, " Your Future!" the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, " Your future is your eternity." Wow, I never considered that. I always thought that my future was what I planned to do in life. You will be spending the rest of your life after death somewhere- forever. Is your future secure? If you were to die right now, where would you spend your future? In death and damnation? Surrounded by flames and facing the fact that this is how it will be forever?? Or, if you were to die right now, would you want to be certain that your future will be in heaven? In the Love of God, Peace and His Good Pleasure? Heaven is not a fable...it is a REALITY. Were does your future lie?
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17
Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Open us your hands and heart to Him today- you do not know what will happen when you get up from your computer, nor what will happen in the next few seconds. That's a fact of life.
Say this:
"Jesus. I believe in You. I believe You died on the cross for my sins. I call You my Lord and and my Savior. I renounce the devil and I submit to you. In Jesus name I come to You. Amen."
I do not care who you are, what you have done or said. Jesus said that He will by no means turn away anyone who comes to Him. John 6:37 "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."
If you prayed that prayer, than you now have a secure future.
Grace to you today!
02/02/2012 11:58Here there out there!
I posted this in my New Testament Discussion Board...I could sense the presence of God in my spirit as I typed, I almost wept, I almost sang, I almost danced...anyhow, here it is- what JESUS revealed to me (I am only His vessel)
"The Law was for the children of Israel to be separate from sin and concentrated to God. We who were far off are not bought near by the precious blood of Jesus; Ephesians 2:13 (NKJV) says, "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." Although we are saved by the Blood of Jesus, God has a 'code of conduct' that we, if we truly love Him, will work (if you will) to follow. This work is not our works, but by the Holy Spirit- our yielding to Him. So then, the law of God is in our hearts so that we no longer are 'working' to please God with sacrifices, we now have the law in our hearts! In Jeremiah 24:7 (NKJV) ,God says this so beautifully, "'Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I [am] the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.'"This is the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would convict us of sin and of righteousness; the intent of the conviction (which derives it's meaning from convince) is for us to not want to sin, but to want to do righteousness. That is entering God's rest, by yielding to the Holy Spirit and not rebelling against Him. We are to be diligent to enter His rest! Hebrews 4:11 (NKJV) says, "Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience." So it is now our obedience. Just as a child who loves the father will want to obey him, so we love our Father, and we have the Spirit to help us to will to do those things that please Him. In this way, we love and serve God in the freedom of obeying Him, by the Spirit. When we stumble, His grace is there to help us to get back on course and keep walking in obedience."

Love: Made in Heaven
02/01/2012 17:59God has given us His EVERYTHING. He spent Himself completely for us. If you think you know what love is- think again. God is jealously in love with us. That kind of love cost Him His life; but it was also by His love that He was raised to life again- that we may share an eternity with Him. I think that the number one blindfold to understanding God's love is our questioning God's love. Malachi 1:2 speaks of God telling His people, " I have loved you." but their cold, heartless reply was, "I what way have You loved us?" They did not see, nor comprehend God's love for them. What got in the way? Complaining... They looked at their captivity (which was because of their own iniquity) and doubted that God loved them. If God told you, "I love you." what would you say? " God if you love me- why don't You_______?" or "How do I know You love me?" I think it is time we stopped criticizing God and looked at what God has done for us. Say a girl wanted a really good friend, (this is kind of girly- but I am sure you guys out there will get it too) she's searched everywhere, but could not find one. Until one day, a guy comes up to her and says, " Look, I will be your friend- I will love you, take care of what ever you need- I will pay your debts; if you do something mean to me- don't worry, I will never, ever get mad at you. In fact, I NOW forgive you of anything and everything you could ever do to me. I will never, ever, ever, ever leave you, I will be with you no matter how ugly it gets. I will marry you."let's say this guy knows all about her already, her sins, her failures- everything. But he decides to forget it all for one reason: love. Here is the good news: this is a true story. Jesus took you and I, and He pushed aside all the con's and chose to believe that we only have pro's, He purposed to love us, to stay with us forver- even when we act ugly, or things go wrong; He has decided to forgive all the sins we will ever commit- before we sinned. How do I know? 1Corithians 13:1-8 tells us all that love is. God is love. So all that great stuff we read about love, is true about Jesus.1Corinthians 13:1-8 says, Love suffers long [and] is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never fails. THIS IS LOVE! So instead of questioning God's love, let's receive God's love, and love God with all that we are.
I encourage you to listen to 'He loves us' sung by Kim Walker-Smith: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoC1ec-lYps
blessings to you,

Staying Above the Line
01/30/2012 19:20There is a fine line...you can't see it unless you are above it. This fine line is what I call 'falling between the cracks'...falling into negative emotions, temporary positive emotions (yeah, those can be dangerous, too- when the emotion's over- what do you do??). You have had those days when it seems like a clouds follow you; you wonder why you woke up, why isn't the day going right- but if you pause and ask yourself, "Am I in thanks giving?" you might solve 100% of the problem. I am not talking about the Great American Feast - I am talking about speaking and thinking on God's blessings rather than your problems. I can say that because I have been there. I would wake up wondering why on earth I was waking up (wishing I didn't), I did not see the purpose in living (vanity of vanities...all is vanity...), I hated myself, I hated one of my classes...negative, negative, negatives. I was watching a preacher on the Mac; he was talking about the danger of complaining. I was cut to heart. Basically, he described complaining as complaining against God. Look at Job. He spent 20+ chapters complaining and complaining. What did God say? Job 38:1-2 "Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:"Who [is] this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?"" Complaining is meaningless, Godless jabber. We are saying, "God, things aren't going my way..." Now God did not advocate Jobs destruction- He restored (read Job 42)- the Devil brought about calamity. Anyway, God wants to counsel you and fellowship wit you. But He can't if you have these complaining weights on your shoulders. For God to get clear through to you, you must develop a lifestyle of thanks giving. In today's world, it seems so convienient to complain- but it is SO wrong, and disrespectful to God. Live a Phillipians 4:4-8 kind of life. It would not be in the Bible if it was not do-able (we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us- right? That can be found in Phillipians 4:13).
Phillipians 4:4-8
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord [is] at hand.Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things [are] noble, whatever things [are] just, whatever things [are] pure, whatever things [are] lovely, whatever things [are] of good report, if [there is] any virtue and if [there is] anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
You guys are awesome!
Grace to you from Jesus :)
