What is your future?
I heard a story as a pre-teen (I'm still pretty young- just entered 20 last year) that sobered me some. On the news, I heard a story of a young man (just 15 yrs) who was playing his favorite sport and suddenly fell down dead. Nothing was wrong with him; he was perfectly healthy. I grieved within myself wondering if he knew Jesus- where was he (is he) spending his eternity. Eternity is not something in the future. God told me something as we (my siblings, mom and dad and I) were driving- I saw a billboard for college that said, " Your Future!" the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, " Your future is your eternity." Wow, I never considered that. I always thought that my future was what I planned to do in life. You will be spending the rest of your life after death somewhere- forever. Is your future secure? If you were to die right now, where would you spend your future? In death and damnation? Surrounded by flames and facing the fact that this is how it will be forever?? Or, if you were to die right now, would you want to be certain that your future will be in heaven? In the Love of God, Peace and His Good Pleasure? Heaven is not a fable...it is a REALITY. Were does your future lie?
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17
Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Open us your hands and heart to Him today- you do not know what will happen when you get up from your computer, nor what will happen in the next few seconds. That's a fact of life.
Say this:
"Jesus. I believe in You. I believe You died on the cross for my sins. I call You my Lord and and my Savior. I renounce the devil and I submit to you. In Jesus name I come to You. Amen."
I do not care who you are, what you have done or said. Jesus said that He will by no means turn away anyone who comes to Him. John 6:37 "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."
If you prayed that prayer, than you now have a secure future.
